Parent FAQs\u00a0<\/h1>\r\n

Q: How will I be paid?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

A:<\/strong> At the end of each survey, you will be asked whether you would prefer to receive an Amazon gift code, or a Walmart gift code. Each code will be sent via email and can be redeemed at its corresponding website.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Q: How soon after completing a survey will I be paid?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

A:<\/strong> After completing a survey, you will be paid within 2 business days.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Q: What do I do if I lost or never received my Amazon or Walmart code?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

A:<\/strong> If you lost or did not receive your Amazon or Walmart code, we are happy to help! Please reach out to us at STEPS@pitt.edu<\/a><\/strong> or 412-440-8705<\/strong> for our Pittsburgh and STEPS_durham@duke.edu <\/strong>or 919-886-4301<\/strong> for our duke team.\u00a0and we will have a code sent to you.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Q: How will I receive the surveys?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

A:<\/strong> All surveys will be emailed via a link to the most recent email address that we have on file.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Q: How long will the surveys take?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

A:<\/strong> All of our surveys are estimated to take between 30 – 45 minutes.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Q: How long will I have to complete each survey?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

A:<\/strong> Each survey link will expire a week after it is sent out.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Q: What if I start a survey but do not complete it?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

A:<\/strong> If a survey is not completed, that’s okay; you will not be paid for that survey, nor will you receive the bonus payment for completing all surveys. However, you may remain enrolled in the study and receive payment for completing the subsequent surveys.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Q: What if I miss a survey?\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

A:<\/strong> Unfortunately, if you miss a survey, then you will not receive payment for that survey or for completing all surveys, but you may remain enrolled in the study and receive payment for completing the subsequent surveys.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Q: What if I never received my survey?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

A:<\/strong> If you never received your survey, then we apologize for that! please reach out to us at STEPS@pitt.edu<\/a><\/strong> | 412-440-8705<\/strong> for our Pittsburgh and STEPS_durham@duke.edu | 919-886-4301<\/strong> for our duke team and we will send you another survey.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Q: Can I complete the surveys on my phone?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\r\n

A:<\/strong> Yes! All surveys can be completed on a computer, a tablet, or a phone.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Q: Can I take a survey more than once?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

A:<\/strong> Because each individual is sent their own survey that tracks their progress toward survey completion, it will not be possible to take the survey multiple times.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Q. What if I would like to participate, or to continue to participate, but my teen does not?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

A:<\/strong> For our study, we are seeking caregiver-teen dyads; parents or teens are not eligible to participate by themselves.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Q. What if I do not answer all the questions on the survey?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

A:<\/strong> If you do not answer all the questions on the survey, that is fine! Questions asking for updated contact information or initials, or that are designed to check that you are paying attention, may require an answer in order to progress through the survey. However, you are allowed to skip any other question(s) that you do not want to answer, and will still be paid after the survey is completed.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Q. Will I be able to view my teen’s surveys as well?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

A:<\/strong> Surveys for your teen will be sent to your teen’s email address. When your teen receives a survey, you may view it at that point, but it will not be sent directly to you.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Q. What if I have questions or concerns regarding items on my own or my teen’s survey?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

A:<\/strong> If you have questions or concerns regarding your or your teen’s survey, we want to hear from you! please reach out to us at STEPS@pitt.edu<\/a><\/strong> | 412-440-8705<\/strong> for our Pittsburgh Team and STEPS_durham@duke.edu | 919-886-4301<\/strong> for our Durham Team\u00a0and we will welcome your feedback and address any questions.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Q. What if I have more than one child that is eligible for this study?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

A:<\/strong> If you have more than one child that is eligible for this study, that is great! In that case, you are welcome to enroll in the study with either child. We recommend that you choose the child that you feel is better suited to completing online surveys.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Q. What if I no longer wish to participate in this study?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

A:<\/strong> We are sorry to see you go! As your participation is completely voluntary, you are free to unenroll from the study at any time.
